
Michelle Woods, D.D.S., M.P.H., earned her doctorate in dental surgery from UCLA in 1987. Her interest in how oral health affects overall health and how dentistry fits into a complete health care system motivated her to obtain a master’s degree in public health with an emphasis in health services organization from UCLA in 1998. A native of Los Angeles, Dr. Woods opened her practice in 1987 and has been providing treatments in general, restorative, cosmetic, and prosthodontic dentistry for 24 years. She keeps up with the latest advances in dentistry and family health. She enjoys educating her adult and pediatric patients about the amazing benefits of modern dentistry while focusing on the importance of good oral hygiene in the lifelong prevention of dental disease.
Dr. Woods is a member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, and the Western Los Angeles Dental Association. She actively gives back to the community by lecturing for the UCLA School of Dentistry, the South Bay Adult School, Emerson Adult School, Jefferson Elementary School, and Parras Middle School on topics concerning adult and childhood dentistry.
Dr. Woods’ passion for dentistry is inspired by the opportunity to create a healthy oral environment along with beauty for the benefit of improving overall general health. She takes pride in knowing that she offers exceptional care tailored to the needs and wants of her patients. Dr. Woods’ reputation has been built on the trust and respect of her patients, who often comment on their appreciation of her gentle touch and attention to the finest details. A devoted mother of two daughters, she enjoys spending time with family, relaxing at the beach and taking care of a menagerie of animals, including a yellow Labrador, two turtles, a bullfrog and four Koi fish.
